Theme

The Conference theme is Common Ground.

Common ground represents the "place" in which we come together with those who have different perspectives, to establish shared values and approaches to the things we agree are important.

This theme acknowledges the origins of parks as common ground for the use of the people and preservation of our natural environment. The Conference will provide an opportunity to find common ground across the many agencies with stewardship responsibilities for parks and land by sharing our management skills and knowledge.

As we move into an uncertain future, identifying partners with whom the parks industry can share common ground is more important than ever. The Conference will also focus on opportunities to find common ground with the education, health and community sectors to build community capacity and support for parks.
